PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Shivamogga has started working in 2010 for Classes I to X in a temporary building. Later on in the year 2018 the school has been shifted to its own newly constructed building. building of Vidyalaya is situated on NR Pura Road , near Airport, Shivamogga. Vidyalaya is about 4 KM from Shivamogga Airport. It is 2 section school

Vidyalaya new building was inaugurated by Shri B S Yaddyurappa ,Hon’ble member of parliament and ex chief minister of Karnataka on Sunday 25th February 2018 in the presence of Shri D H Shankara Murthy ,Hon’ble chairman karnataka legislative council ,Shri Kogodu Thimmappa , Hon’ble revenue minister and district minister of Shivamogga, Shri M Lokesh IAS ,Deputy commissioner Shivamogga and chairman, VMC, Shri P Devakumar ,Deputy commissioner KVS RO Bengaluru, Shri A Narayanaswamy, Principal K V Shivamogga.

Vision and Mission of the vidyalaya is to cater to the educational needs of the children of transferable Central Government employees including Defense and Para-Military personnel by providing a common programme of education, To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education To initiate and promote experimentation and innovativeness in education in collaboration with other bodies like the Central Board of Secondary Education and the National Council of Education Research and training etc.
